AAIC National Walk Against Ice
Every year, the Australian Addiction Information Centre (AAIC) hosts a National Walk to raise awareness about the drug "Ice." The walk takes place across Australia, with local AAIC groups organizing the events. Participants simply register online and join others for a day of walking, as well as food, entertainment, and other activities. The specific details of each walk venue will vary depending on the local organizers.
You Can Now Walk Where You Are
To make the walk more accessible, AAIC has introduced the "Walk Where You Are" option. If attendees are unable to get to an official walk venue, they can still register and complete the walk wherever they are. On the day of the event, they can join the live online walk led by the Gold Coast, Queensland team.
